Dena on the job
Hi There!
Hello there! Come on in, grab a cup of coffee, and get cozy! I am Dena, #momofboys, three to be exact, two of which are identical twins! I am sure it is the same for you, but life is a pretty crazy chaotic beautiful mess around here. Favorite topics of discussion?
Family, food, home, travel, and of course survival! 🙂
If you found me you are probably a fierce mama too and I love that about you! I think we need to stick together, don’t you?
We found the spouse of our dreams, got married, bought a house, and had some babies (give or take the order). We followed the recipe (perfectly measured or thrown together with a few extra spices) and what we expected was some form of ‘happily-ever-after’. Right? But if you are anything like me, in life ‘one-size-fits-all’ doesn’t work and is a very silly expectation.
Young children, daily grind, keeping the marriage fire alive, and finding balance in it all is hard. HARD. And yet we really are in a phase of life where we are ‘in full bloom’ arn’t we?
We are creating the memories right now that we will remember with nostalgia and tell to the next generations. The stories that we will share with our grandchildren and hopefully the memories our kids will tell about us. The daily moments that will help shape and cultivate our littles to be the people they are meant to be.
Kinda heavy. I know.

So this is the question I often ponder. How do we create a life that is full and fulfilling without going crazy trying to do it all?
A life that is simple but still magical? A life full of delicious but healthy (+ QUICK!) meals kids will actually eat? A life that cultivates our littles without them even knowing it? A marriage that still feels fresh, fun, and connected?
This is what life in full bloom feels like to me…
Of course I have to be honest with myself about the reality of the chaos and navigating through the mess (and toys) of it all with a little love and grace.
As we survive this messy-bun-hot-mess stage I am constantly told wisely by the women ’empty nesters’ to remember that the days ARE long but the years are even shorter… so to treasure them delicately.
So this is me… Dena Alese… trying my best to heed their advice.
To slow down, savior the smallest moments, the big adventures, and truly experience ‘Life in Full Bloom’. I hope we can learn together on this journey!
